I saw 56103 that had been pulling a railtour at KGX on Sunday night when getting the last LNER train home. Does anyone know what was used to take it to the depot? I couldn't see anything on the front. Thanks in advance!

On Wednesday 31st August I was due to travel on the 23:33 service from KGX to PBO. Due to an earlier cancellation and lots of events taking place in London that evening this 5 car train was full and standing. The scheduled departure time came and went, then a person who I assume was the train...

Thanks. I've reserved them seats on the 09:30 and told them to speak to customer services to make sure they'll be allowed to travel on that service.

LNER saying tickets for tomorrow are valid on Wednesday and Thursday. My parents were due to travel on the cancelled 10:06 out of KGX, surely they should be able to travel on an earlier or later service?

Many thanks! That extra 30 mins may make a big difference in persuading more people to take the train instead of the plane.

How much quicker could the service be with the current stopping patterns, if given better paths?

I have to wonder if Standard Premier will go the same way as the GNER Standard + did, although it does offer a little bit more than Standard + as that was just a standard class carriage with complimentary tea and coffee.

I'm sure I remember doing KGX to PBO in 39 mins on a Saturday evening years ago, but I may be misremembering the departure time of 20:00. I just remember the clock on platform 4 saying 20:39 I'm sure many will be along soon to tell me that can't possibly be right! :lol:

I went for the Class 373, but it was a close choice between that and the 225.

Oh that explains it more then. So it's just a light that would be Illuminated when doors are unlocked like we've seen for years on units and coaches, but this one was flashing because it's just newer and the guards key was still engaged? Because of where the light was (not near passenger...
