In must have been about 15 years ago but I wasn't expecting a Class 67 and Mk2 or maybe Mk3 stock on the a FGW train from Bristol to Cardiff painted in 1980's style Intercity blue and grey. It seems loco stock was used on the Taunton to Cardiff route for a while.
Fairly casual.
I like to travel, and must have been over at least 3/4 of the network. I will nearly always know what class I'm travelling on, but not the number.
I was a spotter back in the 80/90's, at the moment haven't done anything rail related since October, apart from popping on here a...
You will get on the 17.07 with no problems. I use Wembley Stadium starts often. (8 times this year after England games) there will be a queuing system in place. It works well.

I was wearing a blue...
I rode on my first 332 in September this year, looks like I won't ever get a second trip.
I only went on the Class 91 about 3 times. Twice in 1990 when they were new, and once about 5 years ago. Never went on a 460 before they were rebuilt, and never went on a APT before there early withdrawal...
I've yet to use Worcester Parkway which opened about 6 months ago. It's about 25 miles from me.
I've never boarded a train at Pershore which will be 20 miles or so, but I have been on a train which has stopped there.
I know there a bridge built over the M50 when it was built in the 1960's to carry the railway from Tewkesbury.
It seems the railway closed when the motorway was only a few months old and the bridge was unused until being knocked down about 7 years ago.
Some photos of it appear here...
