It is worth noting the considerable expansion that the Red Group have had in recent years, and there's definitely been a pivot over this period. If you look at the investment now on the Oxford <> Aylesbury and High Wycombe <> Aylesbury corridors, it's quite impressive!
Yes - that was a commercial basis, and whilst there was some usage, it was not enough to offset the significant cost of running on Christmas Day. The depot does open for a limited service on the airline coach service to Heathrow and Gatwick, and in future years, if there was financial support...
Worth noting - again - that the Carousel services are not operating on entirely commercial basis on Christmas Day. In Oxford, there was no such funding available this year, and the cost of operation would be considerably higher.
There is definitely some revenue risk involved, but a lot of the Christmas Day network is operating with some financial support from Heathrow Airport and/or local authorities.
Thanks - I am open to operating later evening 850 journeys in the medium term, but need to let the existing additions (including the half hourly evening service introduced from 23rd February) build up first.

All drivers are integrated into the team, with the separate rotas introduced...
Yes, there is GCC funding in the 801 for the Cheltenham to Moreton section. With support from Oxfordshire, we will be making some improvements to the Sunday service very soon.
For the one, the half hourly extension to Hemel Hempstead is funded in part by Hertfordshire, the Saturday enhancements are funded in part by Buckinghamshire. The later journeys are fully commercial. On the 105, the Amersham to Chesham and Chartridge replaces some of the Chesham locals, and this...
Whilst the Watford link is no longer, these changes reintroduce the direct bus between Beaconsfield and Amersham, with better links for those in Chesham Moor and Chartridge to these towns, as well as to High Wycombe on the 105. Hopefully that generates some new usage, especially for scholars.
The changes to the one were instigated by Carousel, but we did work in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council to make it happen.

Not quite true I'm afraid. Whilst Buckinghamshire Council have part-funded some of the improvements, there are others which are wholly commercial.
