Colne Bridge Road is reopen, drove over it an hour ago on my way home from work albeit with a 20mph restriction as the resurfacing isn’t fully completed but presumably it needed to be reopened to allow the Leeds Road bridge to be closed this weekend.

The single line working also presumably having the added complication of having to hold Lincoln-Nottingham trains at Newark flat crossing.

Shaw Wood Road in the Todmorden area between the A646 at Eastwood and Harvelin Park has a 26ft length restriction for similar reasons and is served by Todmorden local services T6 and T8.

According to the plans the first two sections of the roof at the western end up to the end of the main station building are to be permanently removed.

Would this not introduce a performance risk when splitting and joining at Donny if one half of the train is delayed?

Anything longer than a single 185 would be too long for the platform and would require selective door opening.
