Other TOC’s like GTR & SE have mobile assist teams for unmanned stations to provide assists either by driving to the station to provide assistance or travelling by train

Nope. It’s to do with a broken down Class 180 EMR which is currently having wheel skates fitted for movement tonight. Once line block is given up Up fast will remain closed and down fast will reopen

Another option could be to spin the 9Y at Elephant & Castle platform 2 but would depend if there was a driver change at Blackfriars but this is only usually undertaken if the up service is running late or bay platforms are blocked and is same driver in & out
