As is Old Oak Common, where works are actually time critical due to planned blockades (even if they were moved by a few years). In general Mark Wild statements are just meaningless waffle. He is stalling while politicians decide annual funding envelope. Progress along the route in many places...

In this country we spend more money and time on "feasibility" studies, consultations and all sort of other paperwork than some other countries spend on actual rolling stock production or infrastructure construction. Roll on "consultation nation".

Who knows when, or even if, it will get approved, now once we have "king of the North" in charge... I have seen some activity from south London MPs (like Liam Conlon) lobbying for approval in the media. They might not feel confident if they need to do that...

I agree. They are just replacement trains (and years overdue). Of course they are an improvement but that's hardly exceptional or unexpected when replacing a 50 years old junk. That is problem with London. We are spinning stock replacement as some amazing transformative investment. Investment...
