When I was a kid everything was Steam Hauled except for the Green Southern Electrics. So everything has been new to me except the 150s that looked old, just like the Southern Electrics, even when new.

First is always full too, with paying customers. From chatting to others I've met Doctors, solicitors etc. all paying top dollar.

If trains are consistently full and standing including Toilets, Vestibules & any other spare space, then surely XC must be most profitable & if not why not ??

If you want to change from XC to GWR, Newton Abbott is much nicer and there is a good pub right by the station

On GWR they make a useful cushion to soften the seat

I reckon a lot of local Cornish might use a train to Padstein, whereas currently, I doubt few venture there anymore - same as Snives
