exactly right, my daughter gets bad anxiety as it is, so this has aggravated that a lot! But yes we know it will all blow over and we've been co-operative the whole way through with anyone we've dealt with.
I'm not actually sure whether EMT wrote us a letter with words to that effect, my husband...
Lots of discussion going on here!
I've just had a thought that I'm confused about and wondering what your thoughts are RE my case. As I mentioned we got a Second letter, this time from Network Rail (actually I believe it's ATOC sending it via network rail) addressed to my husband, not my...
Thanks Dave, you're as helpful as always. we'll be sure to write the letter, I think we're just a bit confused about why they're asking for it as surely they have the report filed by EMT which explains everything, my daughter can't say any more than what was said in the interview. We're prepared...
that's correct, however I'm unsure as to why they've sent us a letter asking us for an explanation... We've gone through the interview process and paid a fine etc so I'm unsure about why we've recieve a letter from Network Rail asking for an explanation when they must have the report that EMT...
exactly, we'd rather not take it to court, that would involve far too much anxiety and as you say davenewcastle, a potentially much higher price to pay at the end.
Network Rail have sent us a letter with a list of the boxes that EMT weren't happy about, asking for an explanation. Is this...
We've not sought legal advice, but members on this community have given us some wonderful advice, and we've spoken to my husbands union who have also given us the same advice. The interview is tomorrow so I'll be sure to update on here on how it went

we'll see what we can do about talking to her fathers manager, see if he can suggest anything. I really just hope it doesn't get taken too far, it seems like something that could get very messy if they don't accept her explanation.
The box she travelled with on that day was filled in with pen...
This is why it's all so worrying, we're not sure why it's gone so far. The guard on the train didn't directly say to her "you've been altering your card" he just said that she had been writing in pencil and she wasn't supposed to do it because it could mean she'd been abusing the card...
I've not been notified of any potential repercussions, they've not told us anything at all about that so we just don't know what to expect, which is nerve wracking in itself
You'd think that, but it's literally that some of the boxes are done in pencil. One or two of them are gone over in pen from when a guard has offered to go over it in pen for her, so maybe that might be a cause for concern for them. we'll have to wait and see i suppose

I do wonder if some ticket guards are unhappy about people having privilege cards because they stopped giving them out a while ago didn't they? I have had some very rude ticket guards aswell who have made me feel very uncomfortable. There was one occassion I got the date wrong and instead of...
From the link you gave, I found this:
"EXAMPLES OF CASES WHICH ARE CONSIDERED AS INVOLVING DISHONESTY
Altering, writing over, erasing or any other tampering with dated boxes on a Staff Travel Card."
Would you say that our case would be viewed as an example of dishonesty? or do you think...
