    Coronavirus.

Thank you for the reply. I can see now that DB Bahn have put up a message on the website and it mentions that the restrictions may be extended beyond the middle of April. I've also received an email update from gov.uk about the Netherlands but it just seems to be general information rather than...

    Coronavirus.

Just had an email from Gov.uk with the travel update for the Czech Republic saying that the border will be closed from tomorrow for UK and visitors from some other countries. Was booked on a train into the country within the next month. The tickets are still on sale but I wonder if they'll...

    Station Usage 2018/19

Teesside Airport is up to 206. If you do want to get to the airport via public transport from Hartlepool or Stockton for flights to Amsterdam or Humberside on a Sunday it might be a useful option. You could also get the train from Darlington rather than a taxi if you change at Allens West...

Urgent Information Required for upcoming television series

Have you had a look at Getty Images or Alamy photo websites? Searching for Virgin Trains or other train companies shows some staff with badges. You might get some reasonable detail from the preview images there. Also worth looking on ebay? There are some Virgin and First pin / lapel badges there.

    Northern Rail could be re-nationalised

In The Times today it says: "The Office of Rail and Road said only 55.2 per cent of Northern trains reached stations within a minute of their scheduled arrival in the year to the end of June, down by 1.5 percentage points compared with 2018." The Northern train I use is frequently held outside...

Onboard announcements on buses set to become standard?

In County Durham some of the Arriva buses have the LCD screen and audio announcements now. It only announces the next stop, other than at major stops (bus stations, market places, etc) where it also says "if you're leaving the service here please remember your personal belongings...". It also...

    TV in hotel rooms abroad.

Just a guess, but German channels like RTL are broadcast free to air on the satellite Astra 1L, which has a large footprint. You can get those channels in much of Europe with a standard satellite receiver and dish with no subscription, so it's not difficult for a hotel to put it on their...

Scam Telephone Call Regarding Amazon Prime Membership

There are some channels on YouTube which show how these scams work. I received similar calls a few weeks ago and found that Plusnet has a feature to block them. I've enabled it in the online account and had nothing since - it seems to be free.

    Greater Anglia Rolling Stock Updates

Just seen on the RAIL website that the 37s are due to end on September 21: https://www.railmagazine.com/news/fleet/greater-anglia-to-stop-using-class-37s-from-this-weekend Is it possible to tell (e.g. from RTT) if/where they will be tomorrow or Saturday?

As a passenger what problems/incidents do you report to station staff/TOCs/Network Rail?

A few times I've pointed out to the guard or driver that the panel on the exterior next to the doors on a Pacer is open, allowing access to the buttons. They say thanks and close it but I'm not sure whether it matters?

Unlikely working of the year through Dinsdale

Not a great photo - but seen at Darlington in June 2018. I think it was coming back from the Weardale Railway then.
