Myself and 3 friends spent 8 days in Germany for the first week of Euro 24. We had tickets to 2 matches and the rest of the time we spent travelling around Germany as tourists. We were based near Cologne and had a weeks rail pass for all German transport. I have to say I was bitterly...

Hi All, I'm off to Germany in June 24 for a week and intend to travel extensively across the country. The intention is to use all forms of public transport, (ICE, Local, trams etc). I'm mid 50's. Thanks for the information @MasterSpenny , that makes perfect sense. It does say district line on one of the windows in that photo which also makes sense now. It seems to appear after rush hour each day. Perhaps it's just the schedule it's keeping to or maybe it's simply keeping out of the way...

What is this train on the Met line?

Hi knowledgable people. My daughter uses Croxley station on the Metropolitan line most days and keeps seeing this train... It shows up at Croxley each morning at the same time going towards Moor Park. Any ideas what it is and why? Apologies for my ignorance. Cheers

Tesco Clubcard Points. https://secure.tesco.com/clubcard/vouchers/wightlink-isle-of-wight-ferries/UK-010023.prd My parents used to live on the Island so we were over there several times each year in the car with kids. The clubcard deal basically paid for our ferry with Wighlink every time. It...

Do you notice how a Driver drives?

You don't need to be a driver to notice different driving styles, especially on a London Underground line where I have worked and lived for many years.

    British Telecom woes

That's uncanny. I too had an issue with crackling/random drops/slow internet that was caused by a neighbours tree rubbing away at the line. BT were totally inept and unhelpful so I did two things. Firstly, like you, I rang on a mobile and disconnected the line at the box so their tests showed a...

    Printers and Printer Ink

Another vote for a laser printer here. I got so fed up with my inkjets giving me untold problems that I splashed out a bit and haven't regretted it one time.
