Road To Hull Timings 28 Dec

And for the traction for a fair few on board I would say. An enjoyable day with some good weather as well. Some pics from the day can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gbrailphotos/sets/72157639136208223/

    RPSI May tour in doubt?

I wouldn't be to hasty to think it won't run, I have been on a number of RPSI tours over the last 3 years and certainly the "Mystery Tours" have been only advertised about 4 weeks before! Its a pain to organise flights etc if you don't live in Ireland but RPSI have a real job getting tours...

    UK railtours Pennine Panorama

Nice picture. The sun wasn't out at Rugby though :-( http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/gbrailphotos/8175078287/ http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/gbrailphotos/8175112080/

    UK railtours Pennine Panorama

I stand corrected, 015 was what I was told earlier and made sense as its been working off Warrington for the last 3 weeks. At least the tour has a 60 on the front as is running today :-)

    London Midland Class 150/1 Refresh

170502 on 17.59 to Gt Malvern last night(24/10), I was hoping to see 109 :-( Has this permanently gone over to 170's now or just a temporary thing whilst they are being repainted? Like the LM livery on the 150's though, shame they're not doing the insides too.

    UKR - The Ferry-go-Round - Saturday 20th October

I was sitting next to some guys more into track than I am and apparently we did a loop line on the approach to Sheffield near Brightside coming back from Ferrybridge? Anyway, good day out and I agree, the commentary wa very informative. Limited pics ...

    1H80 ; 1H81 etc

Sorry for being pedantic but 1H80, 1H81 were great for knowing what trains were loco-hauled (and thus avoiding units) but there weren't any "diagrams" as such in them. I suppose it comes down to what you define as a diagram but the previously mentioned "loco-hauled travel" books of the early...

    The Rossendale Venturer - 30/06/12

Ok, thanks. UK Railtours use DB Schenker for motive power but on numerous occasions over the years they use top n tail 66/0's depending on where the tour is going, hence my question for this tour.

    The Rossendale Venturer - 30/06/12

Hopefully someone may know and this hadn't been asked before but what's the likely traction for this 66's or 67's? Thanks

Class 37 loco hauled Liverpool St - Kings Lynn.

Ah, but in Germany, France, Holland etc they have double-decker stock so you don't

Class 37 loco hauled Liverpool St - Kings Lynn.

Or Britain could have gone down the route of Germany and thus have multiple fixed sets of loco + stock coupled together thus getting the best of both worlds? I have travelled on many a DB 218 + Dostos or n-wagen which were coupled up at peak times to another set doubling capacity, with no...

Another Class 70007 on Fire / Another 70 Failure

There is a regular 70 turn through Solihull line to Southampton on Saturday mornings around 9am (at Solihull) too. Don't blame me if a 66 turns up on occasions :-) Pic of 70008 on 31/3/12: http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/gbrailphotos/7031717053/in/set-72157627248025281/
