Ref the training pay, I start with Southern shortly and the letter states £24,300 (rounded up a little). Not sure if it's different for TL etc though. Good luck for those of you going through the tests, just practice and relax, don't try to rush them on the day.

I'm making the move also, soon to be ex-copper to trainee train driver. Looking forward to the change having served 14 years in the police. Fed up with my pay decreasing (after increased pension and N/I contributions) and diminishing 'career' prospects, cancelled rest days due to operations...

Really hope thats not the case re Brighton, I've recently had a medical in relation to my Brighton application!!

Economist - I had my assessment in Oct (still awaiting interviews) and there was a mixture of us for all different depots. As far as I am aware the HR team is all mixed together now under GTR HR.

Well done, I've got assessments with GTR on Monday. Fingers crossed I'll get through his to the interview stage. Have put a fair bit of work into suspected questions in anticipation of getting that far!

Hi all, I completed my application on the 7th Aug for the Three Bridges advert. Been checking every day but heard nothing yet. Mind you, I also applied for Brighton in Jan 2014 and I think that application is under consideration again.
