I travel daily between Liverpool South Parkway and Piccadilly. Although I typically use the EMR service, I always bought my season ticket through the northern app as I had the choice of either all operators or just northern season tickets.
Since December, the all operator option has...
Currently sat on the 170 from Parkway to Oxford Rd. Interior is very tatty but the AC is wonderful compared to the 158. First class seats declassified also helps.
The Liverpool -> Manchester stopper service is full on the morning run. I was hoping the Northern semi-fast service would resume next week, but alas, it's been removed from the proposed schedule. Does anyone know if it will return at all this month?
So no electrification of the CLC line, but electrifying the Fiddlers Ferry line and a new HS line from Warrington to Manchester. From a selfish perspective, would that go through South Parkway?
Has the "express" between Liverpool Lime St and Manchester Airport via Warrington Central operated by Northern been removed? It looks like only the EMR service is the express service going forward?
Would they not double them up? A two or three car 170 will be leaving people behind at either Warrington or Birchwood on the morning service from Liverpool to Manchester, what a shambles.
The 153 are a huge downgrade from the 158. The seats are awful and cramped, there's no tray table hence it's impossible to work on my laptop when travelling to and from work, how long will this last for? Do EMR think a 153 is acceptable for the journey between Norwich and Liverpool?
No, the 2+3 seating on Northern 150's are horrific. No leg room, no place to work on your laptop whilst commuting and terrible posture support. 150's need to be the next class of trains sent to the scrap heap.
