I thought the line was going to run in a trench alongside the road so that a level crossing by the roundabout could be avoided. Although I always think of the roundabout as Evesham Road level crossing.

I think hairyhandedfool has the right idea especially about the second controler and the sidings. For the main oval I'd have two power feeds from the first controller; one on each semi-circle, if you see what I mean. Good practice for a permanent layout is to feed power to each individual...

I nearly went for plasterboard, but it seemed very brittle and dusty so that idea was quickly abandoned.

As EM2 said, ply is what most people recommend. MDF is ok for small boards but I think ply is generally considered the better option.

Nice photos. Seems strange seeing blue and grey multiple unit looking so clean and tidy (just because I remember the EMU stock running through Kent 30 years ago).
