Instead of sending for scrap they should be sent north to Kilmarnock for conversion to 320/4 and help out with spares

Any type of base plate could be made to fit those standard bolt hole patterns be it for OHL masts or signal posts

Thanks for the info its always good to get local on site expert knowlage that is not available to those of us from far away and by they I ment the senders to the scrap yard

they should send them to Northern to make into 3 car sets instead of scrap at newport

Its only some people on here who have taken a dislike to them and only report failures the ones i travel on work fine mind you it has taken staff a while to get the hang of them

Northern need to get some of the ex GW sets and base them all at wigan springs branch depot with dedicated staff to look after them
