Passports Required from 28 September for Ferry Travel Republic of Ireland to Great Britain

Take them to court for what? The ferry company are entitled to require customers to present passports if they want, they have given notice of this change in terms and if you turn up and are refused because you have not met their terms then you have no valid claim.

UK switching to electric vehicles discussion

Pretty unlikely they'll be sticking a massive lithium battery in armoured land rovers.

    RIP old National Rail app

Well my google account is not from the UK but my location at any one time varies, google geolocking is based on account country and doesn't change when a device moves to a different place.

    Flixbus through the channel tunnel

Meal vouchers are only on DFDS, I assume these are supplied by the ferry company as part of coach bookings rather than being funded by Flixbus.

    RIP old National Rail app

Hmm. "This app isn't available on Google Play in your region"

    Car hire question

That is a good 6 hour round trip from Dublin. Are you also aware that it is a private house with no access to the public on a very narrow road, not a tourist location.

Swansea-Fort William travel advice (for event starting from Ben Nevis at 0900)

Have you also looked at Ember? 14.20 and 17.20 departures from Glasgow. Also a 14.12 from Edinburgh. https://www.ember.to/

When using "spirit of Scotland" (either 4 in 8 or 8 in 15) travel pass to ride non-national-rail services, does that alone count as a travel day?

OP has finished his trip, as per previous post. But the withdrawn ticket you are referring to was the Daytripper which covered a much larger area and was also valid on most buses.

    Air conditioning on London Buses

No, it is a vague term that is used for everything from a proper refrigerant compression system to a swamp cooler or just a fan or anything else in between. That is why it is such a useless term, it has no real meaning.

    Forum help question - Signatures

Good. A facility that is an annoyance on every message board that I have frequented. Largely used by people with no understanding that their favourite quote, witticism, agenda, political viewpoint, inappropriate personal fact and assorted other nonsense is not of interest to the majority of the...

    Refund of first class premium

Of course it does, if free upgrades are being given to those with Std class tickets then what exactly are those who have paid a premium for 1st class actually paying for?

When using "spirit of Scotland" (either 4 in 8 or 8 in 15) travel pass to ride non-national-rail services, does that alone count as a travel day?

Add to that most participating bus routes (as well other bus routes in the Highlands) are within the £2 bus fare area so likely to be cheaper to pay separately than using the pass.

    Manchester Wayfarer information

From previous discussions it would seem that the GM Wayfarer sold through PayPoint outlets are more likely to be accepted on buses without an argument than rail ticket issued ones.

Itapped on an didnt realized tapping out outside zone. Berkhamstead to Milton Keynes central.

Fare evasion is a criminal offence and you do not have to have had the intent to evade for it to be proved, the act of evasion itself, which you absolutely did, is enough. You aren't getting the advice you want because you are looking for people to tell you you are right, you won't get the...

Itapped on an didnt realized tapping out outside zone. Berkhamstead to Milton Keynes central.

The only sensible advice is to pay the Penalty Fare and be more careful in the future. The question over whether you meant to evade is irrelevant, it does not matter if it was a genuine mistake or not you are still liable to pay the PF. It is YOUR responsibility to have the correct ticket for...
