To report back, 3 buses in Portsmouth, the first issued a ticket, the second and third just pressed a button. None had an issue with the mix of plus bus and free child :)
Don't think I'll bother paying for tickets anymore.

"And the man stopped by TfL investigators owing over £2000 pleaded guilty at court.
He was fined £40 plus £100 compensation and £100 costs"
Does anyone know (ideally with evidence) if I am ok to use plusbus for me but the child take advantage of the free summer bus offer. It looks like a free child ticket has to be issued and one bus company (who I am not travelling with) have said adults must but a ticket or can tap on tap off. To...
I had this issue with my android, for tickets added to the wallet. I had to turn NFC, not been brave enough to try it again (As it is a right faff explaining to the driver to cancel the tap!)
So, I initially had contacted them with the wrong email address for me, so they didn't think I had the offer. Tried again yesterday, the discount showed but then at payment stage the price went back up again! I'd actually booked for the wrong day anyway so luckily it gave me a good reason to...
Well that's clear as mud (the offer shows but is useless when the ticket is £2.50 more than it should be. Does anyone else have the offer and it's working correctly?)
Did you get anywhere with this?
I got an email reminding me of the offer and again the tickets are showing as £2.50 more than they should be then a £2.50 discount. For people who don't know what the ticket should cost that is rather misleading!
With or without a discount?
In the breakdown for example it is saying £8.80 then 2.59 discount. That it badly coded at best and misleading at worst as many people wouldn't know the normal cost I guess.
Eastleigh to Winchester peak return (£6.30)
Eastleigh to Southampton Central evening out return (£4.40)
Network Railcard selected but if course wouldn't give a discount as below minimum fare.
I've been sent an email for £2.50 off my next two trips. Had a look and the two I tried are both £2.50 more than TrainPal so no discount! A glitch or something underhand?) (both local journeys with no advance tickets so easy to compare!)
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
