Does anyone have any info regarding the assessment day for the Trainee Conductor role with Southeastern?
What is the format? What are the tests like etc? Is it similar to the driver testing?
Regards
Out of interest did they mention anything about the bonded period? I believe there is a time you need to stay there once qualified or you will be paying back your training fee.
For anyone that has recently sat the tests for trainee driver at Tonbridge, I have the practice sheets they sent but wondering whether there are any other tests that they don't list.
Feel free to DM me with any tips if you don't feel it's right putting them on here :)
Does anyone know what the up to date offer is in terms of salary while training and how long you would be on the lower rate? Does it go up in increments? Is there other income such as RDW and overtime that can be had in this period to top it up or are you just on a flat rate?
Regards
I think anyone who has worked on a large infrastructure project in the UK over the last 10 years knows exactly why the costs are so high. There are so many people involved in these projects, not in terms of workers but office staff. When I started in this industry you had engineers who, as part...
But it was never the only option. It was an option for those thinking of changing careers and maybe taking a big salary drop while training. The cost of the test was small in comparison with lifestyle changes that might need to be considered.
In aviation it is always recommended that anyone...
Sorry, but that just isn't true. As someone who has been there and done that I can assure you there are people from all backgrounds that have self-funded their pilot training and got jobs.
There are fully funded opportunities that come up every now and then and it is these positions that tend...
Just as an update to this for anyone else looking to do a private test.
It looks like nobody does this anymore.
H2B & OPC have replied saying they no longer do it
RCG don't answer the phone or email and the website shows no dates available
Looks like the only way is via a job application now.
There is however a guarantee that I won't get a job if I don't pass them.
I didn't want this to be a debate about whether or not to do it. People have all sorts of different reasons. Especially those of us changing careers who may need to make significant changes and have family support. I...
In my case, it's more about knowing I will be able to secure a job in what will be a major career change. There will be certain sacrifices made and some planning for the future required and it will be nice to have one of the major hurdles done before going any further down this route. If I fail...
Hi
What are the current options for getting private assessment test certificates rather than as part of an application?
I contacted the OPC who say they don't do it. RCG website says they do but doesn't show any dates as being available. I know How2Become do it for around £1000 but just...
