University lecturer with degrees plus professional qualifications in building surveying (in which I worked before becoming a lecturer), civil engineering and architecture. Expert in heritage buildings, with published research into conserving specialist buildings from the Industrial Revolution that has more than an interested bias towards railway buildings ... tell you, going to make the academic community understand railways even if it kills me in the process.
