I've got two numbers, can't remember which one I used when I needed to speak to someone...02089298600 & 02089298800... if not correct ask them to put your through to Fiona (I guess)
The two people the interviewed me said they are so busy because of the number of people who applied! But said to...
It's hard to tell, I feel it went well in the sense I kept calm & had an answer for everything they asked etc. But it's hard to tell if I answered the questions well enough! Time will tell! But I'm happy as this is just great experience! Thanks for asking :)
Brilliant, that's great news!
Funny you say That...about 6 weeks ago I put a post up asking how long people have to wait to book their dmi as had been waiting 2 weeks & later on in the day I received an email to book it!
I had my assessment on 9th march. I presume you passed the assessment day, I must have just passed at the right time. Although what toc have you applied for? Yes it's awful, luckily they haven't kept me waiting that long, so July/august is hard. Def keep on at them though.
Thanks, like you say...
Yes I think I will too then.
I'm glad you say they make you feel relaxed, hopefully that will help!
That's good to know, I've thought about as many questions they could ask so hopefully I should be fine! Fingers crossed & thankyou!
Hi guys,
I have my dmi tommorow & am pretty nervous, Any tips & hints people can offer would be appreciated?
Also wanted to see when asked the competency questions in the interview are they looking for star method to be used? Or just an answer with brief explanation?
Thanks Em
Yes that's exactly how I feel! I'm glad to talk to somebody who felt the same! I just hope with all the preparation I am putting in it will pay off!
Yes the star method will def be used, I have a tendency to waffle!
Thankyou so much for your help, I really appreciate it!
Ha ha, that's brilliant! Yes they can take a long time! I have looked at the non-technical skills required & I feel I can cover most of them such as customer care, time management, following rules and regulations, concentrAtion! The one example I would have struggled with was working alone for...
Oh really! That could work then, I wasn't too sure if it needed to be something a bit fancier! On the assessment day we had to write down our examples, I am right I thinking these can be changed can't they? I don't think the example I wrote down would be that relevant to them!
Oh yes I did realise that, I just wondered what type of example they wanted as I haven't done anything like driving a train!
The only jobs I have had are working in a pub for a few years and I currently work as a beauty therapist! :-/
I hope you don't mind me asking but what example did you use for describing a task similar to a train driver. I am struggling to think of a good example I can go in to detail with?
