I literally just used GWR to book a seat reservation on cross country in the past 10 minutes.

In any other business or area this level of ambiguity and unrevealed internal memo policies would not be expected or tolerated but in tail its just taken as expected and normal. Only rail could mess up such a simple policy roll out this badly.

Not well done at all as they say "- LNER services between Doncaster - London Kings Cross" which is not correct and implies not valid beyond Doncaster when it is. The policy is clear and simple. If you are going to state operators that tickets are valid on don't state incorrect limits on validity.

So today the policy has already flopped as services are all cancelled between Reading and Oxford but XC are not saying you can use any LNER train, just LNER London to Doncaster....which is just not true as any LNER is fair game with a Reading to York route Not via London ticket for example...

I agree there are a lot of shortforms but they are supposed to be 4 so promising services will be extended to 4 is misleading as they alreafy are scheduled to be 4 and are shortformed and TfW arent guarenteeing no short forms in future so its a hollow 'success"

Am I missing something as most TfW trains already are 4 coaches to Brum and why spend all that time and effort putting together a 'business case' that is missing most of what needs to be in a business case. Dont get me wrong, I used Wrexham and Shropshire and understand what this link brings...
