Pretty sure commuters on the Hertford loop were promised the opposite, i.e. no need to stop at Harringay and Hornsey because that would be soaked up by the other branch. At the moment we (on the loop) have a significantly worse service than 2 years ago, with almost all trains now being slow...

A few trains per peak used to skip bayford, crews hill, Grange park, hornsey etc to save a few mins. Really makes a difference for the outer commuter. In fact not sure why they can't do this most of the time (with every train skipping some but different stops) Performance targets around trains...

Are these 717s likely to live up to earlier hype about faster journeys? Hertford loop peak timetable was a nasty shock in may with total loss of semi fast services and some added parding, adding 8 or 9 minutes to the trip.

I know this has been the least of the problems, but can anyone tell me what is going to happen on Hertford loop in the medium-long term? May timetable gave us (slightly unexpectedly) much slower trains with extra stops and padding. Plus obviously arbitrary cancellations. GTR have produced lots...
