Going back to what was said about the 91s lack of performance against the 80x. Whereas it’s obvious a 91 can’t keep to the acceleration/braking speeds of an 80x, it’s worth noting that yesterday’s 1Y20, which was 225 operated (91130), was the best performing out of all the Newcastle starters...

I find it interesting how LNER think it’s more viable to cancel a whole service (Harrogate and return) to use the intended stock on the Newcastle diagram rather than send an IC225 to Newcastle to cover the diagram it was originally intended for. It seems they are going to quite the lengths to...
Is there any update on the plans for the 91s working north of York from December? Heard a few rumours here and there but it seems to have gone a bit silent.
Totally agree. It’s always the people with secure jobs and plenty of income who demand further restrictions. The fact is, lots of these people are absolutely loving being on furlough and don’t want it to end. But they need to get back to reality and look at the bigger picture.
7 sets have been retained, and it’s looking like from October 5th, we will see all York stoppers aside from the 11:06/14:02 return, booked 225 workings. The morning Skipton and the evening Bradford turns will be 225s also, and a few Leeds workings.
43257, 43290, 91127 & 82210 are all in Virgin Trains East Coast livery now.
