I would be interested to hear the outcome of this, I have been retired for 2 years I know the Layout at Darlington, unless the rules have changed ( which I doubt) there is no way that a train is allowed to enter a platform at the same time as a train is departing.

Is it not that case that a train should not be allowed to enter an occupied Platform with the exit signal from the Platform cleared?

He would surely need to sit PTS and other courses to do this which will be very costly

Of course they can get stroppy most people can. In my experiences with Rail Enthusiasts and I met a fair few over the years, i found them to be decent people apart from the odd one or two that seemed to think they could wander all over the Railway.
