Don't know what they do if you can't give a urine sample - others on here may know. Depending on where you are travelling from, you may want to do as I did; take a bottle of water and sip on the way there. By the time you get there and they ask if you want to do the urine test first or leave a...
Last advertised roles for LM trainee drivers that I can recall was in mid 2013. Maybe they are now picking up the pieces from this and starting to call people in for assessments etc?
If for the Trainee Train Driver, the full range will probably be Group Bourdon (Concentration) Trainability for Rules & Procedures Test (TRP 1 & 2) Driver Fault Finding Test (DFFT) and Test of Everyday Attention (Tee-Occ)
Have you been invited to the assessment? If so, good luck
Well, completed the medical for driver role, and now awaiting the official feedback/confirmation of appointment. Like a lot of people it's been a bit of a long haul, and I would be interested in some views on one point. It's been said I am being 'selfish' in planning to put the family through...
Hi, I have asked previously, regarding the very short notice TOCs expect people to work to - as illustrated in the post copied below. I also had an email out of the blue asking me to attend for the next stage - over 12 months from last contact, with just s few days notice. Fortunately I was ok...
I've heard that Chiltern are making people take the assessments again, even if you completed and passed the revised ones last year with them. Anyone else heard that? I wouldn't be chuffed to have to do the SJE again, when it's such a challenge getting through in the first place.
Hi, I see from the London Midland website that they are recruiting again for various roles, does anyone know about the status of the trainee driver roles? A lot of people completed the assessments over the Xmas period, me being one of them so would be interested of any updates if anyone knows...
I see that DBS will check if you've failed the tests etc. Will they take into account tests you have already passed, so you only have the DM interview and medical? I have seen that FGW will insist you retake all tests with them, do DBS also require this?
Unfortunately it takes time, if you look around this site you will see the many complaints about the process! I am still waiting for an interview with LM after completing the first stage of assessments in December. Don't know why it has gone quiet though, unless someone else who maybe works in...
I see London Midland are looking for trainee drivers at Worcester. The assessment/interview etc dates are very rigid; makes you wonder, if they want the 'best' candidate surely that person may be in a responsible role and can't make such short timescales, and so many days?
I did get the message about being placed in a talent pool - but a presentation? That's new, and 10 mins is a long time when you are doing a presentation!
Congratulations. I can't provide any advice as I haven't been yet myself, still waiting. Did you recently complete your assessments? Mine was in Dec, and was told to wait for interview times to be sent out. Good Luck.
