Ahh, I see your point, sorry. Maybe there is a possibility to derail but more probably the lock won't sustain and break under the force from the train. And train will continue in its direction. That's what I read.
I think you misunderstood. The train should be able to normally pass through that switch without any critical consequences (but it's forbidden nowadays). Switch points are moved by the train itself.
