What’s the blocker in respect of 1hr 45m LST-NRW? assumed this would be achieved through shorter stopping times and better acceleration etc. No other infrastructure changes needed.

So, it must be a fair assumption that we won’t have all the 745s in service by 31 March - maybe 5 or 6 at the current rate? Will GA ask for an extension of the derogation for the 90s/MK3s? would it be granted? Will the 90s be available after then? Do you think they have a contingency plan...

**** poor management continues at GA. They cant hire anything in from other TOCs because they don't have any proactive initiative. Sitting on their arses safe in the knowledge they will get TUPE'd across at the next franchise change.

Service has gone completely down the pan over last 6 months. No money being invested + various cost saving activities like overtime bans etc. Paint jobs at the expense of fixing traction motors and fixing the leaking roof seals in half the mk3s is a joke. Not hiring in mk3s from elsewhere...

Four RHTT sets turned up at stowmarket a couple of weeks back, but so far no DRS locos to operate them. Leaves have been holding-off with the dry weather - which may explain why no locos, but it's really wet/windy tonight and the 21:00 NRW - LST lost 12 mins in first half hour due to poor...

I am told that there may be an agreement for DRS to operate a weekday morning and evening hauled turn from Norwich-GY-Norwich, presumably to cover the current DMU shortage, and that it may start within next couple of weeks. Can anyone confirm?
