158's FOR TOTTON TO ROMSEY

Just got the 13.01 Totton to Romsey train from Totton to Southampton and I see South West Train are now using Class 158's trains and not class 170's. Do any of you know why they are using class 158's trains and not class 170's trains. http://www.flickr.com/photos/50536607@N00/326116462/
