The road entrance to Sainsburys could just be moved to come in off broadwater lane where there is already an existing service road that's just blocked off with a large gate.
The bus station could then be moved to use part of the old station forecourt and maybe some of the waste land to that...
That's the point though... to get a better business case I think that TW needs to be included... (imho BML2 would be lovely but it goes way too far to make it viable with the current lack of forward thinking towards major rail infrastructure projects unless it's high speed).

Or maybe it's just because there isn't a viable alternative? I know that if we had a direct, fast train service from TW to Lewes or Brighton I sure as hell wouldn't drive - just wouldn't be worth it. For the same reason I always get the train up to London rather than attempting to drive it...
How is Tunbridge Wells any different? If it wasn't for a bit of historical border redrawing then a large wodge of TW would be in Sussex too... Both TW and Horsham have a population of approx 55,000 (TW slightly larger), both a similar distance from Brighton.
