Not a good afternoon for the 222s on EMR. 009 was terminated at Leicester on the 1600 Sheffield to StP 1C71, 023 terminated at Kettering on 1405 StP to Nottingham 1D46. Timekeeping out of StP also not helped when the 1345 StP to Corby sat down at Dock Junction for nearly 2 hours before crawling...

810022 was going like the clappers on the 0832 x StP this morning and 5 early at Sharnbrook only to catch up a Corby but looks to have burst at Leicester on the 1802 1F65 to Sheffield

222014 did 0530 1C08 Sheffield to StP this morning and set out with 1 toilet oou. Reached London with only 1 toilet in use on the train and air-conditioning in a coach broke. Return working 0806 1D06 to Nottingham promptly cancelled.

I understand that very few EMR drivers know sheet stores to stenson and preferred route for ecs Derby to Nottingham when line blocked through Spondon is via Chesterfield.

I am aware of that but heading straight into Germany and the next E* only has to miss the Köln train and connections to destination get iffy. Rather stay the night in Belgium and have a beer and decent kip instead of up at 4am.

Is there a way of determining what steam is allocated to what on the timetables?. Today on the GCR website it showed 2 locos in steam for the services this weekend but timetable works out for only a single needed. I'm sure the old website was clearer on the subject.
