Not sure if your aware but rail welding is a totally different type/style of welding to your mig/tig style welding its more of a casting style depending if you'll be doing thermite or railtech processes but both very similar

I work for a major OLE firm and i've only ever done days in a sidings but mainline is always nights in my experience

Yes I also got an email to narrow down my choices but I rang DBS HR and the reason behind this is because they have to many in the 'talent pool' for each location so needed narrowing down and shortlisting Not the news I was hoping for when I asked the question!!
