How reliable are older ADL E400MMCs ?

Thanks everyone ! I have also done a Google search asking what improvements were made with the E400MMC compared to the classic model, -- and there were plenty, although I haven't yet spotted any improvements to the standard Cummins engine and transmissions. Also, the introduction of Euro 6...

How reliable are older ADL E400MMCs ?

Does anyone know if the older E400MMCs (now approaching 9 years old) have good reliability ? My IMPRESSION is that the older version / older examples (locally) are too unreliable, and are expensive to repair / upgrade (?) Does anyone have reason to believe that the newer MMCs will be any...

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

AT WORCESTER currently, we have about 6 Volvo B7RLE/ Wright single-deckers and two Badgerline StreetDecks parked outside, - all belonging to Bristol area depots. Most of the Volvos were "ours" until last September. It's a very welcome splash of colour, as most of ours (Alexander Dennis) are in...

There are currently EIGHT badgerline streetdecks and one Bristol area streetlite here at Worcester depot ! Bearing in mind "we" don't have a lot of spare space here, does anyone have any factual information about this please ? (Worcester became an all Alexander-Dennis depot around last September).

Two Badgerline StreetDecks have been parked at Worcester depot -- 35686 + 35692 -- I have no doubt that they are not staying - we are all Alexander-Dennis now !

    First Worcester

8 vehicles have been received today according to bustimes.org from other First depots, however I would GUESS that only about 4 of these will be needed for the extra services and that about 4 of our (longer) existing single-deckers will get transferred away, -- just a guess !

    First Bus new corporate identity

http://forum.midlandred.net/viewtopic.php?p=24467#p24467 I think the new livery will look grotty by the time it's been on a vehicle for about two years, but I think the logo / fleet name is ok. A post on midlandred.net (above) suggests that some subsidiaries might still "escape".

Could someone in the Bristol division lookout for Worcester StreetDecks 35156,57,+59 please ! They are no longer shown on the Worcester bustimes list, nor on the national bustimes list. Thanks.

I agree !! (I think the new livery will look appalling by the time it's been on a vehicle for two years, with the gloss gone and ingrained dirt).
