On the Harrogate line there is an odd one in the evening peak (1729 Leeds) that misses out Weeton, not sure why it's the only one that does this and the section running times are the same as the other services. Not to much of hardship though as there are departures at 1720 and 1736 from Leeds.
Bookings still yet to open for this and we are only a month or so away from Easter when it usually starts running, not very good for anybody who is planning trips over the coming weeks.
The reliability of this has improved compared to last year when it would be cancelled nearly every day for weeks on end. I think the issue is lack of train crew, isn't this crewed by Barrow in Furness depot? and they had an awful lot of shortages for a while.
The Victoria to Orpington service is back up to 4 per hour during the week (I think it changed last December) The Saturday service does need restoring to 4 an hour and the Sunday service always was only 2 an hour.
This is the second day in a row that this line has had problems yesterday it a track defect somewhere in the Pannal area which resulted in the service being canned for at least 3 hours or more. Just recently the service on this line has been appalling recently if it's not signalling/track...
No timetables or loco roster published yet, as a member of this railway I've checked the members portal as well nothing on there either. The connecting bus will probably be only from Skipton as in previous years.
No chance of ECML divert this weekend as the Durham coast diversions are on again & even if they wanted to I'm not sure the sleeper stock is cleared for that route anyway.
Quite a lot of cancellations again today ending up with a gap in the service of around 2 hours this afternoon between Harrogate & York not helped by a signaling problem as well, also the railhead treatment train ended up 2hrs late this morning and disrupted the morning peak service.
Another poor show today on this line at least a dozen canned due to train crew shortages, 2 in a row in some cases leaving a big gap in the service also the 2339 Leeds (the last train) to Harrogate is binned as well.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
