A 769 has at around 15.30 apparently collided with a van near Burscough (between Wigan and Southport). Reports in Liverpool Echo have a photo, with some damage at one end and the 'front' door' missing. No other details at present, website initially said no casualties but from another source van...

When the 175's were first introduced, Wigan (SP) instructors were trained on them (Ron Davies RIP and others) as there was going to be some work for Wigan men on them, with some units to be stabled overnight at Wigan Wallgate but a change meant that never came off.

Apparently only short term as well.
