I caught the 10.28 from Okehampton Interchange to Exeter today, 22 passengers boarded which seemed quite respectable for a brand new station. The train was already half full with people from the old town station.
I did an afternoon trip from Podgorica to Bar & back last September.
I travelled out on an EMU & back on a short loco-hauled train. The line is quite scenic, crossing Lake Skadar and later after a tunnel through a mountain ridge, views out to sea.
There was a bit of late running coming back...
No trains to Okehampton or Okehampton Interchange at all today - weather related apparently.
Why Okehampton has been singled out for this treatment is unclear; trains to Barnstaple ARE running...
My suggestion would be The Bear in Spring Street - literally just a couple of minutes' walk from Paddington station. Up the ramp beside the Elizabeth Line entrance, cross Praed Street, and it's there on the left.
The pub is in the Good Beer Guide, it has six changing real ales from small...
It's a 166! Almost always faulty, and has been since they entered service back in NSE days.
Ironically the 165, designed for shorter journeys and built without air-conditioning, is now much cooler in hot weather.
I visited Kosovo last year on an organised tour. We entered from Albania by road with passports being inspected but not stamped.
The same applied when we left and returned to Albania.
Two days later, we took the day train from Podgerica (Montenegro) to Belgrade (Serbia) with no passport problems.
However the 10.14 Paignton to Manchester loads well, even though it's usually a five car.
People standing west of (i.e. before) EXETER last week! I was one of them.....
I'm sure this may have been covered before somewhere, but I couldn't find anything.
I spotted this Campaign for Real Ale howler on the outside of the Station House pub next to Whitland station in West Wales.
I sampled some very good beer, but I think it might be a long wait for the next TGV...
