I did this once a long time ago for one of my kids railcards. I had renewed the wrong card by mistake - an earlier one than the current. After a brief discussion on the phone it was all sorted out easily. Not sure it is helpful to keep many years of the same railcard visible on the web site with...
Maybe I am lucky but 2 hours from Stockport to London or 2 hours 45 from Furness Vale is only about £75 return off peak with railcard. Not so easy to beat that for the same journey.
Yes I figured as much but then how do I reserve seats on the train I want without more faff (my time, harder to book the specific type of seat the passengers prefer, also to choose the less sunny side of the train)
Today I try and book some off peak returns from Stockport to Euston on the Avanti web site.
The screen layouts seem to have changed, initially it comes with a long list of trains and the single fare so no return available. I have to select two single tickets and proceed to the final selection...
What I mean is that comparing 1 and 2 people, quite a likely scenario. One day is 35/60 which is a saving for two, 2 days is 30/60 no saving for two, 3 days is 90/170 which is a saving for two, 4 days is 110/220 which again is no savimg for two.
For a railcard holder over 55 living in the West (Buxton Line) it is hard to find many scenarios where this ticket would be useful. The main advantage seems to be for multi day and early weekday use. Would be great to get a small Railcard discount say £5 which would be much more attractive.
Thanks for checking, I tried with a certficate checker web site and all is perfect. The problem was with EE Web Protect which I had turned on when I changed Broadband from BT. I switched off Web Protect and all working well.
I just get

I agree especially when hard to reach under the seat. I do happen to have a three pin plug plus USB cable but it is very rare I see anyone else using a charger.
Would that include Manchester Piccadilly to Victoria which is a fairly common route coming from South Manchester/Derbyshire and heading East across the pennines.
