Trainee holiday is about 24 days I believe although you don't really get a chance to take it in the first 6 months, pay is about 26k. 52k qualified, next few years takes pay to 63k plus around £500 for each Sunday worked and you will do a minimum of 12 Sundays.
You can apply again in 6 months to any GTR company, I know someone who failed DMI and then 6 months later applied again and went straight to DMI and passed.
It's hard to get so far then fall at the last hurdle but don't give up, work on your Interview skills as much as possible and give it...
Not soon, the pay deal given is over the next few years so a new agreement would have to be made. I doubt they have enough Drivers to do it anyway.
You have to work the Sunday as it's your responsibility if it's one of you duty Sundays.
I'm currently on a course with someone from Bedford and he has been allocated KX but once the new depots are up and running will get either Hornsey or WGC.
I wouldn't worry too much about it until you're qualified, lots can change and happen in that time. Good luck with your assessment...
There are but when they say about GN-south that's below Hitchin and they are all full, new depots WGC and Hornsey are most likely where you will end up and then have to put in a transfer request.
If you have the ability the test are not too hard, most important thing is to fully understand each test. When I did mine a couple failed because they did it wrong, before each test starts you have the opportunity to confirm what is being asked by the assessor, make sure you do. Good luck...
Terms and conditions can change long after employment as ex Fire Service I know that too well, as a trainee you won't have time to even worry about it believe me.
