I was there on a Sunday evening last November and was held, along with the other passengers, in the circulating area until a couple of minutes before departure.
I watch a lot of these too and like you would love to go there and do the journeys myself.
Have you seen the Norwegian state TV videos of Trondheim to Bodo?
IIRC they last about 9 hours each - they have done one in winter, summer etc,
and one where it's been edited and takes place in all...

Quite a few stations missing - I just looked for Ely (my local station) to find it not listed. Same for Cambridge. Yet Waterbeach (between the other two) was!
Great Northern (at Kings Cross), used to announce the destination of stopping trains to Cambridge as Foxton. This was also indicated on the display screens.
I tend to watch a lot of cab ride videos, and on the German ones, I often see yellow V and upside-down V signs, always in close proximity to each other, and for the life of me, I cannot work out what they mean.
Can anyone enlighten me please?
