There is a new X39 service from Dean's depot (starting to coincide with the 13 &60) 3 journeys in to Edinburgh in morning, 3 out in evening - first and last from Lochend so presumably positioning journeys for the 13, there is also a pm journey starting from Haymarket in the afternoon, presumably...

I know the reports are saying 'single decker bus', but more likely to be a coach - also, a work colleague said a video they saw on-line from around the time of the incident shows a coach in the Cowgate ....draw your own conclusions...

.....Lothian did flirt with the bendybus back in the days of the X48 (Ingliston P&R to Sheriffhall P&R) I guess one of the big (literally) issues would be storage space for a fleet of bendy's- the square metre space required compared to a Double decker.

From memory, they were working on all my buses last week, with the exception of a couple of 2's I was on, which had audio, but no screens installed for visuals and one of those, I think, was completely new audio, it was a different voice.

Originally, the Hillend terminus was to be closed for 4 or 5 months (which would have been December, IIRC) Unsurprisingly, the redevelopment works seem to be months over schedule and now the terminus is closed "until further notice"

Yes, correct, it has always been C134 as far as i am aware (though no number is ever displayed) I'm assuming C134 is some sort of internal reference for the service/contract

Yes, I've noticed this as well...certain windows seem to flex wildly and there are one or two where the whole bus seems to rattle something hellish

I would love to see them showing actual times, delays, diversions etc- it *should* be possible, but when will we actually get that is another story, for another day and another thread..... (before Gus comes at me getting off topic - sorry Gus :oops: )
