Interesting.. seems a long way to take the damaged vehicle but I guess moving it as part of the planned possession ahead of the renewal trains and using the sidings at Southminster is an option which doesn’t cause disruption anywhere else.

The Southminster line was due to shut for renewals from Saturday 22nd until Friday 28th. Wonder if that will still take place or whether resources will be redeployed to the section needing repair between Wickford and Rayleigh?

Have tried to send images of Paignton from tonight’s Kingswear-Southend charter but can’t seem to because of file size issues.. anyone know how to compress them down from an iPhone?

Some of the early Ilford based 345s were tested between Shenfield and Southend Victoria where they can be slotted into the regular timetable quite easily. Same with the GA 720s.

Fault free running testing of 720s. Every new set delivered does these diagrams from Ilford to Southend then several 5Gxx trips until the evening.

Hopefully.. RTT shows a switch from IE to EL lines at Forest Gate Junction rather than Manor Park so fingers crossed! Only ever covered that section of track once on a Southend-Liverpool Street service in the Morning Rush Hour when there was disruption on the Up Main.

The Class 90s and 360s were withdrawn from GA service during the pandemic which ruled out any tours, special workings etc. Hopefully we'll see some specials over the GA network for the 317 or 321 (and parts of it for the 315s when they are retired from TFL)

The Network Rail 950 has been down to Southend Vic (before it was painted yellow!). Not sure if that counts :) 1612818573 And it does go to Southminster now every couple of months
