    Perth station still has the same points machines as Central. I always remover gearing the hissing of the air systems when on the track in the station area, no surprise it's failed!

    I noticed this at work a few weeks back, the old pole still remains on the UP cess just before Thornliebank station on the East Kilbride Line. Can easily be seen from the road bridge as depicted in google street view.

    Altnabreac up on the Far North Line is one of Britains most remote stations. Also its a request stop only.

    I think that once you get down there, you will quickly realise that not everyone is a focused as you are coming across. You will be sharing with at least 3 or 5 other guys in your room, so at nights it can be noisy and guys having a carry on. For many it will be their first time away from home...
