    Ember: Electric coach service

Ember have confirmed on Facebook that the £2 fare cap will apply to journeys wholly within Highland, Moray and Argyll / Bute. If your journey crosses a boundary you'll be charged the £2, and then the standard Ember fare for the rest.

It seems that there's a 9.15 am restriction, so the barrier was right, and the staff member wrong. Oops.

No issues exiting the gate line at Aberdeen on Keith to Dundee open return. Scanner at Dundee wasn't happy though.

Off-board fare purchase on bus systems

I walked to the Airport Tavern from Bristol Airport and caught an Airdecker to Bath for £11.50 rather than the £17.50 advertised from the airport. On my return I tried to book to the Airport Tavern from Temple Meads, but got issued with a full £9.00 ticket, so stayed on the bus to the terminal...

Aberdeen station/Dyce station to the airport; current situation?

The X27 finished in 2022 according to bustimes. You can get from Dyce to the airport by catching either a 35, X35 or 18 towards town, crossing the dual carriageway at Bucksburn and then getting the 727 airport bus. The 727 from Union Square is the more straightforward option.

    Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire

I was out on the B5300 between Silloth and Maryport and saw a couple of Stagecoach buses on the route. Not much opportunity to get lost, but maybe checking timings.

    Ember: Electric coach service

My Google timeline shows 10 minutes at Dundee. We had a long stop at Kinross to keep to time, but no chargers there obviously.

    Ember: Electric coach service

I was on the 14.19 E1 service from St Andrews Square to Aberdeen on Sunday 20th October. I booked a scottish concession ticket online, and was not charged a reservation fee. The coach was very smart, but we had an unplanned recharging stop at Dundee Greenmarket to get the batteries back to 40%...

    Fishers tours

I discovered that some of their buses travel down the A9 in walking country. I booked a single from the bus-stop on the A9 at Dalwhinnie to Dalnaspidal Lodge having phoned to reserve a place and confirm a price. Price £3.70 for about 10 or 11 miles. As there was no bus-top or layby at...

Weather Disruption caused by storm Ciara (February 9th, 10th and 11th)

Northern have cancelled all trains on the Cumbrian coast line between Barrow and Carlisle. The local News and Star website's headlines are that Northern cancel all trains, but I don't think it's that bad. Some local passengers are upset that their long planned weekends are ruined, and are...

    Special Offers Discussion

It may be that it's just a temporary glitch like it was with the Reach form. It certainly looks like they're not bothered about individualising the forms for marketing any more. Maybe that's why the Reach ones weren't available temporarily.
