Got to agree about the advice given with regards to CV's... would aim for 1 to 2 pages maximum. I cant see a railway HR person reading through more than that, they have important stuff to do like drinking coffee and playing solitare!! :)

Loads of drivers at my depot live really far away and it doesnt cause them any problems. I would say you could give another address closer to the depot if it will help you get on. Then move closer before you actually start. Might sound unethical but i dont think any harm is being done.

The pass mark is not made public. However to give you a rough guide, i completed about half of each page, but with extremely good accuracy. That was enough to give me a "good pass" according to the assesser.

I waited over 18 months from application to starting the job! Dont worry if you are still waiting........
