It's quite possible that there's not a lot of information to filter down to train crew... I think these sort of situations tend to have long periods of nothing...

I'm fairly sure the train in the picture isn't the Track Recording Train, as it's only 3-cars long and probably doesn't have 'Rail Adhesion Train' written on the side of it...
It's no different to the '67 First and Last tour that was run in May 2011, though... This was done as well as the 'Last Trip' stuff that happened (and was featured on 'The Tube')
Why would they go to Ruislip/Ickenham, in to Ruislip Depot and then back on to NR metals, when they arrive on the Amersham Branch, and could get back on to NR metals that way?
