This is not fully related but, i saw an EMT set coming into Malton headed toward York at about 5.15 today, was unsure weather it was in service or on a railtour or something, looked like a voyager class 222

1908 to Scarborough from Malton: CANCELLED there’s a surprise! Lucily my mate is on the 1913 Malton to York!

I’m at York where there’s an HST 43 set on Platform 6, the power car at one end (inside the station) is 43367 and is rebranded LNER, the power car at the other end, outside the station and basking in the sunshine is 43239 which is still Virgin branded!

In regards to a post earlier up the forum, Scarborough is in the recent TPE TV advert, seems silly if they do want to kill off their Scarborough services with what there doing as there bloody advertising them on the telly

When i was at York yesterday, services were announced as LNER, today they were announced as London North Eastern Railway but there were some pauses and giggles from the annoucer, seemingly going to say Virgin Trains, stopping, thinking about it and then saying it correctly
