Thank you for your patience Watershed. On the price, I was getting it at £46.35 (1-6 non travelcard) or £65.50 (1-6 travelcard) in total for 3 adults and two children. I used the Thameslink website to price it up which suggested a Groupsave discount (I think no different to using the railcard).
