I will be traveling from Wigan to Euston with my partner.
I'm considering booking standard premium. Is there a facility to reserve seats opposite each other on a 2 person table?
Which site would be recommended to book advanced tickets.
Thank you advance for any help.
I've had a quick scan and I don't think The Ludlow Brewing Co has had a shout out. 2 min walk from the station next to the tracks.
All ales are brewed on site, with the fermentation vessels gleaming in the background.
This a link to Rosie Cooper's (MP for West Lancs) website. Bad news regarding the station proposal.

Oops, beat me to it.
The car park at Maghull North is always full, they really should of made it bigger considering how close to the M58 it is.
I think you can purchase the saver tickets at Ormskirk Station. Ormskirk is still the best option if using the bus for the first part of the journey.
Existing public transport, then you mean the 90 minutes bus journey. I suspect the evidence is correct.
What the evidence doesn't or can't show is the amount of residents who make their way to Ormskirk or Maghull stations by whatever means (bus, drive, taxi) and get a train.

Agreed, a station in Old Skem wouldn't be the ideal location today. However the station was already there when they were planning the town. The new town development stretches well in to Old Skem close to the old station site.
The wind turbine is located at the Walkers factory on the Pimbo...
Skelmersdale was designated a new town in 1961. The first residents located in 1964. Skelmersdale station was on the the Ormskirk to St Helens line which completely closed down in 1963.
The station was located in what is now referred to as Old Skem, on the west side of the town.

We don't have a normal town centre with restaurants, pubs and clubs. Liverpool is absolutely fabulous and only 15 miles away with the potential to be a 30 min trip on the train. Bus journey is nearly a two hour trip. Maghull North and Ormskirk stations are similar distances, I usually drive...
Not sure how you could get closer to the town centre than the Glenburn site. It use to be the location of two high schools and the pupils had no problem spending their dinner break hanging around the concourse shopping centre.
I can't comment on the commercial aspects but the transport benefits...

I've been waiting a long time for some new news regarding a new station.
