Last year I did this for the Macmillan nurses. I went on every Pendolino except 033 City of Glasgow which was damaged at Grayrigg, it took me six weeks to do it and all the money I raised went to the nurses, I also could not have done it without the help of the Virgin staff at Lancaster station...

Last week I saw 60084 Cross Fell on a bitumen tank working to Preston at Blackburn, she was the first class 60 I have seen round these parts for quite a while.

Last week I went from Leyland to Preston on 180 103 and found it very quiet and comfortable, I wish I could say the same about the rest of Northern Rails stock.

Seen this morning at Leyland Lancashire on its way to Booths at Rotherham was class 37 # 37717 full of graffitti sandwiched in between 37706 and 57601. It looks like the end of the road for this loco.

We used to get three a week through here in Blackburn taking bitumen tanks to Preston, but now they are being hauled by class 66s.

Are they all being stored at Toton ? or somewhere else.

All Virgin Trains are running via the Midlands and are up to an hour late.

There are three locations that I use Andy, they are. Ribblehead Station and Ribblehead Viaduct then Blea moor. The weather will play a big part in how your photographs turn out. HTH.

There are quite a few 221 sets running on the WCML at the moment for Virgin and I have heard there are more to come back.

It has got to be the class 92 for me, they look and sound good.
