If that is HA15, does that take the total delivered up to 12 or 11 sets.
And more importantly, less than a month since the last delivery.
With wabtec finishing up on GWR and XC work should we be realistically expecting a delivery every 2 or 3 weeks going forward
8 out of 10 isn't bad and is a marked improvement over what we seen last year. Given the last set was delivered just before the Christmas break, is it to be assumed we wont see a January delivery or are we finally up to a 1 (or more) per month schedule?
I'll be travelling on the 1350 ABD-GLQ on...
So 10 before Christmas might actually be realistic now.
And the delivery rate seems to have picked up, is this because Set 9 was held for so long that the gap between 9 and 10 looks shorter or is it because most of the GWR and XC work at wabtec is coming to an end so there are more staff...
Does anyone know if today's 0901 INV-ABD was due to be a HST
I'm working in Inverurie and just seen it pass as a 4 car 158
If it has been subbed it's at least nice to see ScotRail doubling up the 158s and not cramming everyone into 2 cars
So if we are now at 7 delivered Refurbs when do we start seeing 5 card sets being delivered?
Wasn't the original plan to be a 20x5 and 6x4 car sets? or will they get all sets out as 4s then splice int he 5th car once they become available
Pathetic.
I know the factors that cause this scenario to come about, but for fare paying passengers it's just not good enough.
The excuses just don't wash for most people now, this is a multi billion pound franchise for christ sake!
Likely to be particularly bad this weekend between Aberdeen and Glasgow/Edinburgh due to the Rugby and Football both being on
ScotRail have been saying all week that extra carriages will be on most services to Edinburgh/Glasgow but this just shows that to be thrown out the window if 4 car HSTs...
Managed to get the 1230 home.
Better than the Classic from this morning but I must admit I'm not blown away.
Still very clattery and squeaky. vestibule door stuck open again. PIS screen not working. Seats are not as comfortable as a 170 (although I think thats common amongst most new rolling...
Hopefully today's meeting is shorted than expected and I'll get the 1230 home, which is a refurb.
I'll take no reservation on the return over a reserved seat on a 170!
Totally understand that these coaches have had much work done as they are only intended to be a stop gap. And to be fair, if I was ScotRail I'd have done the same, so not criticising them on that front.
My point was more about the fact I've seen near universal agreement that a Classic is better...
Reserved seat and it was always booked as 170 worried about actually getting it
Correct me if I'm wrong here. But a 4 car classic doesn't have that many mores class seats than a 170?
I see that the general consensus is that a classic HST is a step up in quality compared to a 170 and I'm not sure if I agree with that.
I'm currently on the 0549 Aberdeen to Edinburgh with is a classic and I just find the interior to be dated and tatty, the seats too close together and very...
There is an LNER Azuma currently sitting in the sidings at Aberdeen.
Wasn't able to catch any numbers as I was driving past but good to see they are testing this far north
Does anyone know if that ran on Diesel or Electric between York and Edinburgh - thought there was an EMF problem north of York
