Last time there was a difference in tokens. Reach tokens were red similar to this issue, and Blackpool Gazette (National) yellow. Will be getting more Star papers as its the cheapest and only 2 tokens!
Sunday 05/01/25 No trams running atm
Buses on most routes running normal service, a few roads, Tesco etc, are not accessible.
Few pictures and information from Podbabba -
You could wait at Preston station, (platform 3/4 toilets and waiting room) or go up steps to main entrance, or subway turn left - walk up to the main road look right and across road you will see to the Old Vic pub 5 minutes. Great real ale,and sky sports! Allow 10 minutes + Blackpool trains...
Unfortunately they cancel the Blackpool South train a couple times most days. Really annoying.
I resort going to Blackpool North. (Ticket normally valid - will operate barriers)
(Tram is £3.50 direction Star Gate. Bus £2 from Market Street.)
I was on one of the trains involved - Manchester Airport train to Windemere - over 3 hours delay.
The Southbound Avanti train hit something and then it went under the second 3 car dmu of our train.
There was talk of going back to Preston, but luckily we eventually continued to Lancaster. BT...

Yes it is, if a new ramp bridge abuts the road bridge could they remove the parapet wall, and replace with a metal barrier?
Par Station - How much would a ramp type bridge cost?

From centre of platform up to abutting the...
Going to 'Tram Sunday' in Fleetwood. (Classic road vehicles music etc)
Just checked timetable -
- All trams go via Blackpool North!! Both directions.
No trams past Fisherman's Walk till 6pm.
An interesting experiment.
15 minute service through morning and afternoon.
There should have been a crossover North of Talbot square platform to allow the tram from rail station to reverse. Any problems on Promenade etc etc trams could have provided a
shuttle service to Blackpool North.
The traffic on occasions I have been there has been very light. eg 8.30am Talbot...
North of Tower - I was referring to stops all the way to Bispham and beyond.
Today has had its problems, after a good start.

Tram Disruption
Today 13:37 - 22:30
Unfortunately due to limited resources the following tram services...
The original plan was to have the North Station serviced by trams starting at Star Gate to BPN then onto Little Bispham and same in reverse. Frequency every 20 minutes.
Two extra trams were bought to cover this route.
IMO going all the way from Fleetwood is a bit optimistic! (and expensive)...
Many thanks for timetables. Not early enough for a friend who lives in Fleetwood! Otherwise change to tram running from Star Gate! That would be 2 fares!
The Blackpool North service Pleasure Beach/ Bispham originally going to be every 20 minutes peak and 30 minute off peak.
Several questions etc may be answered on a previous thread - https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/blackpool-trams.120986/page-5
